Reflections on Marriage from Across the World

Being apart from one’s love gives one a lot of time to ponder about the nature of your relationship.  That and loading up on Jane Austen books and movies has made me rather sentimental.

The reality is that I have never doubted that Jose and I were meant to be together.  Well, together as in married, not together as in together in the same place all the time.  Nine years into our relationship, I am never tired of him and I always love him.

Will there be a time when we are bored of each other?  Probably not.  I don’t imagine anyone ever getting bored of me.  Yet it happens to people, and this woman becomes my hero.  In an age when women so easily give up on their husbands, she held on and won.  Score one for families and marriages.
